University of Economics in Wroclaw Case Study – Mentiway Success

This cooperation is special to us

  • This is the first time we have taken on a technology partnership at a university – and that too at UEW – a university with a wealth of experience in mentoring implementation and the longest running mentoring program at a university in Europe 
  • We showed in practice how technology can support mentoring 
  • The effect of the first edition of mentoring at UEW using Mentiway is to extend the cooperation for another year! 

UEW has gained thanks to the automation of processes and the solutions used in the application

  • Streamlined recruitment process, 
  • Automated communication with participant(s), 
  • Program monitoring and process control after evaluation and participants’ needs. 

The time and human resources freed up were primarily used by the organizers to further develop the program and enrich the development offer for Mentors. 

The app’s usage results speak for themselves

  • 2350 views of knowledge base materials,
  • 1800 logins to the application,
  • 740 mentoring sessions using the app,
  • 4.9 on a 5-point scale – satisfaction rating among Mentees,
  • 4.4 on a 5-point scale – satisfaction rating among Mentors.

We have been implementing the “Mentoring for Students of the Wroclaw University of Economics” Program for 14 years. It is one of our most important Programs supporting Student(s) in both professional and personal development. Seeing its effects, we are currently implementing two more graduate mentoring programs dedicated to specific majors in the Career Office of the Center for Business Cooperation. 

Huge interest in the process, combining several Programs within the work of one team has become
a major organizational challenge. Wanting to maintain the highest standard of service and at the same time
have space for substantive involvement in the Program, which we continue to improve, we were looking for a tool that would allow us to simplify some of the administrative work and minimize our involvement
in this area. After learning about the Mentiway application, we had the conviction that its developers’ understanding of the mentoring process was an accurate reflection of our approach, and establishing a partnership was a natural next step in the development of our Program. Using the Mentiway platform allowed us to automate some of the processes involved in organizing a mentoring program. We were also able to think about new activities aimed at our Mentors and Mentees ensuring that they take even more effective advantage of the opportunities arising from their participation
in the Program, as the application gave us additional time to do so.
