The Odyssey Mentoring Program
The Odyssey Mentoring Program is a prestigious international initiative focused on empowering women and helping them reach their full potential in both business and sports environments. Founded in the Czech Republic in 2009 by Muriel Anton, former CEO of Vodafone CZ, the program has since expanded globally, connecting mentors and mentees worldwide. Odyssey is a non-profit organization, which underscores its mission to support the development of talented women.
Characteristics and Benefits of the Program
Program Structure
Mentors meet with their mentees once a month for a period of 10 months. In addition to individual meetings, the program builds a strong professional community through regular networking events, open to current and former mentees. A new program season typically starts in April.

Nomination and Selection
For specialized programs, such as "Women in Czech Sport," mentees are nominated by sports federations. The selection of mentors and mentees is meticulous, involving a questionnaire and often an in-person meeting to verify the "chemistry" between pairs, ensuring the most effective collaboration.
With a fee of 6,000 CZK per mentee per season, the program helps cover the administrative costs of the non-profit organization. Odyssey has extensive mentoring experience, with over 1,200 mentees and 300 top-tier mentors in 30 countries. The program is recognized for its professional approach and sophisticated, well-developed system.
