Socide Mentoring Program
The Socide Mentoring Program is a non-profit initiative aimed at supporting students who are active or wish to be active in their field. The main goal of the program is to provide students with expertise in their areas of interest and help them better orient themselves and profile themselves in these fields in the future.
At the same time, the program provides personal advice on how to appropriately integrate these activities into daily life so that the student's path is sustainable and harmonious, without forgetting friends, family, and other hobbies.
Key Aspects and Benefits of the Program
- Connection with Industry Experts: Students are connected with mentors who are dedicated to the same field that interests them. Mentors show students how to further develop in the field, what kind of work awaits them, and share practical, proven tips that can ease their path towards their goals.
- Personal and Professional Development: The program helps students identify their strengths and weaknesses, understand how to work on them, and determine which knowledge and skills need to be developed. The goal is for the mentee to be more motivated after the program and capable of independently managing necessary tasks.
- Flexibility and Individual Approach: The duration of the mentor-student collaboration is entirely up to both parties. Meetings ideally take place regularly, but the frequency and format (in-person/online) are flexible. The program is non-profit and free for students, removing financial barriers.
- Waiting List and Repeated Participation: If a mentor is currently occupied, the student can be placed on a waiting list. It is possible to apply to the program repeatedly, allowing students to experience mentoring in different fields.
Socid also records interviews with mentors, which provide students with a more detailed picture of the field and help them decide if it is the right path for them. The entire project is based on a voluntary basis, and it is expected that mentors also enter the program with the aim of helping students on their life journey.
