Mentoring Program Overview
The Mentoring Program of Tomas Bata University in Zlín is designed as a professional relationship between a mentor (expert) and a mentee (mentored student). The main goals of the program are to:
- Transfer experience
- Develop abilities and skills
- Support personal growth for both participants
The program connects successful UTB alumni (ideally, but not a requirement) with current students, creating a valuable network for mutual self-development and career growth.
Program Flow and Key Aspects
Duration and Schedule
The program runs from February to December. An introductory joint meeting for mentors and mentees takes place in January, where both parties receive brief training on how to be a good mentor/mentee. Regular meetings then occur from January to October.
Meeting Flexibility
Pairs arrange their in-person or remote meetings independently, allowing for adaptation to individual needs and possibilities.
Certification
Pairs who meet at least five times receive a certificate of program completion at the final meeting, recognizing their effort and progress.
Feedback
The program concludes with a final meeting and a feedback questionnaire, enabling continuous program improvement.
Applications
Applications for the next year are accepted from September to November. Please note that the program for the current year is already closed.
