NF Alumni Mentoring Program
The NF Alumni Mentoring is a program of the Faculty of Economics (NF) at the University of Economics in Prague. It represents a form of cooperation enabling the transfer of experience, mutual enrichment, and the establishment of a professional relationship between an NF VŠE alumnus (mentor) and an NF VŠE student (mentee). The goal is to facilitate students' future path not only in their professional lives but also to provide them with valuable knowledge and skills from experienced mentors.
Characteristics and Program Flow
- Pairing and Selection: Participating alumni are selected based on the timeliness of their application and compatibility with interested students. Compatible pairs are created based on characteristics obtained from questionnaires, CVs, and internal research, with the process influenced by professional orientation, area of interest, and participant preferences.
- Schedule:
- The application deadline is usually October 13.
- The approval of assigned mentees takes place at the end of October.
- This is followed by an introductory meeting (e.g., November 12), an interim meeting (e.g., January 14), and a final meeting (e.g., April 29).
- Optional mentor meetings are also held.

Workshops and Activities
The program includes optional workshops (e.g., on mindfulness for mental health) and other activities such as "speed-dating" for networking.
The program is designed to support students in their academic, professional, and personal development. Feedback from participants is very positive, with a high percentage of both mentors and mentees who would reapply to the program.
