Career Center of Palacký University Olomouc (UP)
The Career Center of Palacký University Olomouc (UP) is a comprehensive resource for students, staff, and alumni (up to 18 months after graduation) seeking career counseling, job opportunities, and professional development. The center aims to support the development of students' key skills and help them find employment in the labor market.
Key Services and Activities
- Individual Consultations: Offers career counseling and coaching. Helps with career path orientation, self-discovery, insights into the labor market situation, and explores opportunities for further education and development. Coaching helps find balance between study, work, and personal life, plan and define goals, and explore options. Meetings can be in person or online (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Meet). "Walk and talk" coaching in Olomouc parks is also available.
- Workshops and Seminars: Regularly organizes workshops and seminars on a wide range of topics, such as leadership, survival skills in the workplace, digital competencies, and communication skills. These events are primarily conducted in Czech.
- Job Opportunities: Provides access to its own job portal with current job, internship, and volunteer opportunities for students and recent graduates. Most offers are in Czech.
- Support for International Students: Services are designed with the unique needs of international students in mind, providing guidance on navigating the Czech job market and its cultural nuances.
- Experienced Advisors: The center's team has extensive experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and offers personalized advice.
