TENK Mentor Program

TENK Mentor is a pilot program in Oslo, specifically developed for women who want to build a career in the technology industry. The program aims to provide support and guidance to students transitioning from studies to professional life.

For Mentees

The program targets women who are in:

  • Their second year of bachelor's/vocational school studies
  • Their fourth year of master's studies

The ideal mentee is a woman in her penultimate year of study, ready for the job market but unsure how to start or which direction to take. As a mentee, you receive a personal mentor tailored to your ambitions and interests.

Through monthly meetings over 12-18 months, you will receive support and guidance to navigate the tech industry and find your first job. Participants also become part of TENK's inspiring network, providing valuable contacts.

The program starts with a physical kick-off event in Oslo.

For Mentors

TENK seeks individuals with:

  • At least three years of experience in the technology industry
  • A completed bachelor's/vocational school or master's degree, preferably in IT-related fields
  • Residence in the Oslo area to attend the introductory meeting

Benefits for mentors include:

  • Strengthening their own leadership and coaching skills
  • Contributing to reducing gender disparities in the tech sector
  • The opportunity to be a positive role model
  • Expanding their professional network
  • A chance to provide valuable knowledge and confidence that has a lasting impact on mentees' careers

Application Process

The application process for both mentors and mentees involves sending an email with:

  • A brief self-introduction
  • Motivation for participation
  • Expectations
  • What one can contribute

TENK Mentor launched on March 6, 2025, and while currently only available in Oslo, TENK hopes to expand to other cities in the future. The program collaborates with partners such as Kantega, Advania, and Akkodis.
