Mentoring programme management application
Mentoring as a development method is becoming increasingly popular. Every year, more companies and universities are implementing mentoring programmes within their structures. More and more employees are also asking for this form of improving their knowledge and skills. The programmes are becoming more frequent, but also more numerous.
This, in turn, increases the time required to handle them. Planning, implementing and managing a mentoring programme is quite a challenge. It requires time that HR teams or careers offices do not have in abundance.
And this is where dedicated apps for mentoring programmes – such as Mentiway – come to the rescue.
What should a good mentoring platform have?
A tool to support the management of a mentoring programme in organisations should first and foremost meet the needs of both organisers and participants. These needs can, of course, be many, depending on the experience of the organisers and the mentoring programme idea itself. But in practice they are most often limited to:
- organisational support for the launch of the programme;
- assistance in managing a mentoring programme for a large number of participants;
- implementing into mentoring participants who have little experience of being a Mentor or Mentee and even encouraging these people to participate in the programme – just by the promise of providing this support;
- ensuring that mentoring processes are of a high quality during their duration.
This list represents the most common needs of mentoring programme organisers. As Mentiway, we encounter them on a daily basis when talking to mentoring programme organisers. Each of these is reflected in our mentoring application.
We have been developing the Mentiway tool since 2022. Today, it already contains dozens of functionalities tailored to the needs of both organisers and for participants in mentoring programmes. Key features include:
- a programme information page tailored to the mentoring programme,
- modifiable recruitment forms for Mentors and Mentees,
- a system for accepting and managing participant applications,
- mechanisms for pairing participants in an option managed by the organisers, done by the participants themselves or a hybrid,
- a knowledge base with dozens of knowledge pills and videos to help implement mentoring, but also covering techniques and tools to use during mentoring sessions even for more advanced Mentors,
- ready structure of mentoring sessions with preparatory materials, suggested meeting agendas, list of articles to read,
- functionalities that support the organisation of mentoring processes with participants, such as contract, goal definition, integrated calendar, planning of meetings and their topics, sharing of own materials, self-reflection,
- mechanisms to maintain engagement, reminders, knowledge dosage, elements for process evaluation and debriefing,
- advanced administration panel for programme management, management of entries, pairs, communication with participants, possibility of uploading own material,
- a monitoring system for the mentoring programme identifying couples without meetings, without signed contracts, giving a numerical summary of the programme during and at the end.
Benefits of using a mentoring tool for any organisation
The aforementioned functionalities of the Mentiway application bring tangible benefits to both the organisers of mentoring programmes and their participants.
Organisers primarily receive:
- saving time when starting a mentoring programme,
- and during its duration,
- peace of mind resulting from the facilitated organisation of the programme,
- the opportunity to involve more people in mentoring,
- ensuring high quality mentoring processes,
- the ability to monitor this quality on an ongoing basis,
- a summary of the effects of the programme at its conclusion.
Benefits of using a mentoring platform for Mentors and Mentees
For the participants – Mentors and Mentees – the key benefits of using Mentiway include:
- ensure an introduction to the mentoring for first-timers – both Mentees and Mentors,
- providing ready inspiration on how to run the process and individual sessions,
- structuring the process – all materials, knowledge, meeting data are in one place,
- making it easier to organise and schedule meetings, saving time and keeping things tidy,
- systematising the whole mentoring process,
- and ensuring its high quality,
- the peace of mind and confidence that comes from looking after the participants.

Mentiway reviews
Mentiway as a tool has been in existence since 2022. Since then, we have organised more than 40 mentoring programmes and around 1,500 Mentors and Mentees have used the app by delivering just under 3,000 mentoring sessions.
The tool itself has come a long way with hundreds of minor and major improvements. We listen to the feedback of our users on an ongoing basis, taking inspiration from them to continuously develop the platform.
Today, the satisfaction rate with the tool among its users is at 91%. Mentors, Mentees and organisers alike appreciate the app, mostly highlighting those benefits I have listed above.
Here is what its users are saying about Mentiway:
A very useful tool to support the mentoring process. I particularly appreciate the support materials and session notes.
Magdalena, Mentor
The application is very easy to read. The materials included allow you to prepare properly for the session. The hint on how the next session should go and what tools can be used is a hit 🎯
Hanna, Mentor
A helpful tool, systematising the process, the tools I used, my reflections after the sessions. Having a couple of processes mega helpful. I recommend working with Mentiway.
Beata, Mentor
I love using Mentiway as a mentor! This tool is incredibly helpful. Not only does it offer information on tools to use, it also offers a library of knowledge, extremely helpful for mentoring sessions. The platform is user-friendly, allowing you to easily set goals, track progress, schedule follow-up sessions and provide feedback. Mentiway empowers both mentors and mentee, making the process truly developmental.
Justyna, Mentor
The Mentiway app helps to organise the entire mentoring process. A very valuable tool is the possibility to enter session appointments, where you immediately specify the date and topic of the session. The nice thing is that such a notification is immediately given to the Mentor and Mentee and can be automatically saved to your calendar. The tool is simple, intuitive and easy to read which makes it quick and efficient to use.
Justyna, Mentee
The Mentiway app helped me to manage the mentoring process, which I took part in for the first time. The most important element for me was the contract and goals, as well as the materials and space for self-reflection. Everything important in one place.
Katarzyna, Mentee
Each process is different and depends on how the Mentee approaches her goals, whether she pursues them with the full passion with which she wrote them or whether she gets distracted, or whether topics other than personal development overshadow the programme’s goals. A great tool, helpful, organising, a knowledge base, you just have to keep reminding your mentor that she has such a resource at hand.
Monika, Mentor
The process of working with Edith was a very valuable experience for me. Thank you for sharing your very valuable perspective. The Mentiway tool helps a lot in structuring the process, which especially for those starting out in mentoring is a valuable support.
Małgorzata, Mentor
I was very proud to become a mentor in the Top Woman in Real Estate programme, which is supported by the Mentiway app. The tool has helped tremendously with mentoring, it has structured every step, the automation of the measurability of results supports the results spectacularly. Undoubtedly, the app saves time and supports both parties, leaving plenty of room for conversation and development.
Marta, Mentor
Thanks to Mentiway, I have the peace of mind that I can cope. I feel looked after and reassured. The app is intuitive, easy to use, yet substantive and useful. A cool tool to learn mentoring practice and to structure my knowledge.
Alicja, Mentor
I believe that Mentiway considerably simplifies the mentoring process by introducing functionalities which are important from the perspective of those involved. It allows for the factual preparation of the meeting with the mentee (mentor) as well as the supervision of meetings already held and the progress of the mentoring process.
Karolina, Mentor
It was a great help for me to define my new professional goals, to realistically assess my capabilities, my bad and my strengths, learning to develop my self-confidence. I recommend it with great conviction!
Sylwia, Mentee
The app supports the whole process wonderfully!
Paulina, Mentee
Above all, Mentiway is a paradise for the researcher and the person who likes order and structuring of work. The platform gives me a pretty good sense of security as a Mentee, thanks to clearly indicated expectations, a framework for action (modifiable, but still!) or the location of important information within two – three mouse clicks. I know what’s going to happen next week, I know what the expectations are for me (and what they are for the mentor) and I have the ability to create my knowledge base, which I will download and upload after the process. Convenient. I’ll admit that I didn’t expect this presentation of Mentoring to have such a strong impact on its reception. This is not the first mentoring process I have been involved in as a mentee, but it is definitely one of the more transparent and predictable ones.
Daniel, Mentee
