NFS Mentoring Program Overview

The Norwegian Pharmaceutical Society (NFS) has developed and operated the NFS Mentoring Program since 2010, specifically aimed at young pharmacists. The goal is to assign mentees a dedicated mentor in a leading position within Norwegian pharmacy.

Role of the Mentor

The mentor serves as a conversation and sparring partner who can support and guide the recent graduate in the initial phase of their professional career. Through the program, mentees gain the opportunity to:

  • Receive input and inspiration for learning and development
  • Be challenged to take initiative and set new goals
  • Build a valuable network within the pharmaceutical industry

Target Audience

The program is primarily aimed at pharmacists who have graduated with a couple of years of work experience (at least 1 year). However, other motivated and ambitious applicants who wish to further develop the pharmacy field can also apply.

Program Costs

The mentoring itself is free, but there is an operating fee of NOK 900. This fee is used to:

  • Invite professional speakers
  • Serve food and drinks at meetings
  • Cover other program-related costs

Mentors contribute on a voluntary basis and receive no payment for their efforts.

Application Process

The application process involves submitting an application with a motivation letter and CV.
